Spiritual Retreats

Maintaining a healthy soul in the midst of daily living is challenging. How can you remain alive to God, yourself and others in the midst of the demands surrounding you?

Henri Nouwen says: “A spiritual retreat is a time-off from our regular routine, deliberately set aside for God in solitude, silence, and prayer for the nourishment of our body, soul and spirit.”

Our souls are living and like any other living thing, they require nourishment in order to thrive.

At each retreat, participants receive from the Lord and are nourished by God. During this time, reflection with Jesus and renewal by God occur.

Spiritual Retreats can range from 2 hours to a full weekend, depending upon the desire of the retreat participants. Additionally, retreats are created for the unique needs and desires of those attending. Retreat components include spiritual practices, exhortations from Scripture, prayer and margin to be still with God.

The Soulcare Anchoress leads retreats in all contexts with any size group. A retreat guide and all necessary materials are gathered by the Soulcare Anchoress. Fees vary.

Jenni Hoag walks in the way of Jesus. She facilitated a spiritual retreat for my staff team. She gave us the space to listen to the Spirit, which is just what we needed. I’d recommend Jenni for any church or corporate retreat. Patience, humility, love – these describe Jenni’s work in soul care.

Jenni is such a blessing!  Her passion and sincerity come through in all she does.  During our retreat she took us through some great activities to take Bible concepts and give them life with practical applications.  These exercises stretched us out of our comfort zones, encouraged us to meet new people and try new things.  As a result I use several of her ideas to connect more with God on a regular basis.
